Answers to common questions, and a real person if you need one.

Why isn't a barcode scanning?

Make sure the barcode is flat, well lit, and fills most of the scan frame. Wrinkled bags and curved cans can take a second try. If an item scans but isn't recognized, you can add it manually and Have will remember it next time. Some store-brand and international products aren't in barcode databases yet — manual entry teaches Have about them.

How does shelf-photo scanning work? Are my photos uploaded?

No. Shelf photos are processed entirely on your device — Have runs recognition locally and only the resulting item list is added to your pantry. The photos themselves never leave your phone. For best results, shoot straight-on with the labels facing the camera and decent lighting.

How do I link (or unlink) my Kroger account?

Go to Settings → Connected Accounts → Kroger and sign in through Kroger's own login page. Have never sees your Kroger password. To unlink, tap Disconnect in the same screen — this immediately deletes the stored authorization tokens from our servers. Linking works with Kroger-family banners like Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Smith's, Fry's, QFC, and Harris Teeter.

I sent items to my Kroger cart but don't see them. What happened?

First, check that you're signed into the same Kroger account in the Kroger app or website that you linked in Have. Cart items can also take a moment to appear. If a specific product couldn't be added (for example, it's unavailable at your selected store), Have flags it in your shopping list so you can pick a substitute. Always review your cart before checkout — prices and availability come from Kroger and can change.

My pantry looks different on my other device. How does sync work?

Your pantry syncs through your account whenever the app is online. If two devices look out of sync, make sure both are signed into the same account and have a network connection, then pull down to refresh. Changes made offline sync automatically the next time that device is online.

Delete your account

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Or email support@gethave.app from your account email and we'll delete your account within 30 days. Deleting your account permanently removes your synced pantry data, your Kroger account link, your store preferences, and your login.
